Why must I download an applet and have an up-to-date version of Java in order for the Interactive Feature to work?
The Interactive Feature uses a small program (an applet) so that Quicken files can be uploaded and downloaded in a user-friendly manner. In order for the applet to work properly, it needs a newer version of Java which you may or may not have on your computer. The first time you either upload or download an Interactive Feature file, the applet and, if necessary, an up-to-date version of Java will be downloaded and installed at your prompting. The installation is quick and painless. If you elect not to install the applet and Java (if needed), you will not be able to use the Interactive Feature.
