Why must Black women be light skinned to be attractive?
First of all, THANK YOU, for being mixed and admitting that you have black on you (I know alot of mixed girls who claim all but black) as well as noticing the unique beauty that black women have that is seen but rarely understood. Those women (all of them) are freakin’ gourgeous! Of course, only in our eyes because we haven’t had the ‘white is right’ blindfold that this country has had over their eyes ever since the beginning. I don’t blaim black guys for thinking this way when this representation of black women is basically all they’ve known. Sure, they have sisters, mothers, and grandmothers who are black women but society and their own friends are telling them that they aren’t beauty but instead whats in magazines is what is really beautiful. I recently went to Africa (Ghana) to visit my family and it was refreshing being the majority, specifically the beauty majority.
