Why must all garbage fit in the garbage cart? Why are we not allowed to put items along side the cart?
Fully automated collection takes place with only one driver operating a truck equipped with a robotic arm. If the driver had to stop and manually collect excess garbage collection efficiency would be lost and the employee would be at risk for physical injuries. If you are consistently generating more garbage than fits in your one trash cart, consider purchasing an additional container. Also, make sure you are recycling all the items accepted in the City’s program.
