Why modern slavery?
Modern slavery is a clear example of the intersection of many of the social justice issues student groups at UM address, which makes modern slavery a useful case study for a networking group. More importantly, until recently, no student group addressed this injustice. The initial e-boarders, shocked by researching the depth of the problem, decided to adopt this issue as their own during the formation of Sadaqa SJN, and feel quite strongly about it.Partner OrganizationsSadaqa seeks to build sustainable and long-term relationships with its partners, and actively assist in nurturing each partner’s goals via its own resources, while also encouraging dedication to the cause of networking for social justice.
