Why might some areas recieve more acid precipitation than other areas do?
What Raye said, with the addition that the cities with a lot of factories don’t get the acid rain. They contribute large amounts of sulfur dioxide to the atmosphere, but weather systems carry it to other parts of the country before the acidic rain is released. For example, Maine gets very acidic rain that is carried from factories in the midwest.
