Why might blood bicarbonate level diminution within Addisons disease?

0

A patient beside Addison’s disease – where aldosterone is not up to standard – and his serum bicarbonate levels are extraordinarily low. I can’t understand why, though. I should assume bicarbonate level would be high to counter blood acidosis due to increased blood hydrogen ion level. Maybe the bicarbonate is being more greatly secreted at the kidneys?
