Why medical nutrition therapy services are restricted to in person consultations only?

0

Certain laws prohibit us from offering medical nutrition therapy over the internet or phone with a few exceptions. Licensing restrictions also prevent us from offering medical nutrition therapy over the phone or web-based medium unless the person in the state requesting MNT is not in a state that has licensing restrictions or is in the same state in which the RD they wish to consult with resides. If you are seeking medical nutrition therapy and are in the Houston area, you are going to need a physician’s referral that includes current labs, medications and other diagnosis. Once you or we received the referral from your physician, you may schedule an appointment online or over the telephone. Your physician can send us the referral directly via regular mail, fax, or you can bring it with you the day of your appointment.
