Why Make Resolutions?
Even though our habits and challenges continue from one year into the next, people see the start of a new year as a blank slate. It’s a good time to take stock of your life and focus on the things you could do differently. The nostalgia that swirls around the holiday season, with all of its tradition, makes the end of the year a good time to think about what matters most in your life. It’s only worthwhile to make a resolution if you think you can keep it. While it’s worthwhile to have goals, it’s better to set goals that you can attain; the feeling of accomplishment you get from meeting them will encourage you to work harder to meet tougher goals.
