Why maintain two gates on Bauer Road? Can we close the Forest Way entrance?
• No, the 911 Commission will not allow us to close any entrances. • Can a resident review the Board s decision process in person? • Yes, all surveys will be available for review. This will be a completely open process. • Has the Board talked with representatives of the Dominion, a gated subdivision off Spencer Road between I-96 and Whitmore Lake Rd.? Do they use cameras? • Yes, one of our two estimates for gates was from the company the Dominion used for their gates. We talked with the Dominion again this week for an update. They indicated that adding the gates stopped their drive-thru traffic problem. They are pleased with having the gates, and have had minimum mechanical problems. They do use cameras. They have multiple cameras at each entrance, one specifically identifies the make, model and driver of cars entering or exiting. The other camera captures the license plate number of all cars.
