Why low B12 if not pernicious anaemia???

0

I’m a bit confused and wondered if anyone could help me. About 5 months ago now i went to GP with a pink patch on my tongue. She did blood tests and it came out that my B12 level was very low (60) I was told it was very likely that i had pernicious anaemia and was put onto B12 injections and iron as that was a bit low as well. Had a follow up blood test a month or so later which came back normal so was taken off iron. Anyway was also referred to hospital and had the schilling test there to determine if i do indeed have pernicious anaemia. Well i had the results today and my gut is absorbing B12 fine so its not pernicious anaemia!! I’ve got to stop the injections and have another blood test in a years time. The consultant said it can be affected by low iron but basically didn’t really know why my levels were that low (i’m not vege and have a good diet) Its good news really i suppose but i’m left wondering if there’s somthing else going on they’re not picking up on. Sorry for the ramble,
