Why liberals like Bill Maher just do not get humor. Is sexist humor, really humor?
For one, they can never find humor in laughing at themselves. When one does that it is looked upon as a personal affront to them. Two, humor has to have to reality based fact to it. The beginning of Maher’s jokes, although sophomoric, were funny because NFL QB Brett Favre has been caught up in a sex “sexting” scandal and Maher used as many football metaphors as possible for a laugh. However, once Maher made it about a race of people and conservative women who he hates … his comments became sexist. Three, humor is not supposed to be mean. Bill Maher does it again … takes any issue and makes it all about white men, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann and Christine O’Donnell (warning: offensive language below and in video).
