What we have always considered a huge advantage is the fact that Ohio remains an over-the-counter license state. For $154.00, a non-resident hunter has the ability to harvest the same quality of buck many other mid-western states require you to draw your tag. In our region, you can also purchase up to three non-antlered tags in archery season for $15.00 each. In shotgun season, you can purchase two more $24.00 tags. You can harvest only one antlered deer per season. Whitetail season opens each year around the end of September and continues until the first of February.
