The National Association of Regional Councils (NARC) is the premier organization providing services and resources to help build regional communities. Its primary mission is to assist regional councils and metropolitan planning organizations to better serve their member local governments – and their regions – more effectively. NARC represents and advocates for the interests of regional councils and metropolitan planning organizations (rural and urban; large and small) at the national level. NARC is an alliance of regionally focused organizations that fosters regional cooperation and collaboration and promotes regional excellence.
