Applied correctly, the protection in any sun block will at most last 4-8 hours. Since a Bella Sol tan lasts for 5-10 days (up to 14 for some people), adding SPF would not provide protection for the life of your tan and could be misleading. Bella Sol Tans tanning solutions do not contain a sunscreen and do not protect against sunburn. Repeated exposure of unprotected skin while UV tanning may increase the risk of skin aging, skin cancer, and other harmful effects to the skin even if you do not burn.
