Why isn there an on-off switch on the film drive?
We’ve intentionally eliminated an On/Off switch for film drive power. The film drive needs continuous power for the pass-through port to function and allow an attached printer to operate. • Can I close the splash screen? The Splash Screens in the KODAK Launcher Software and the KODAK ADVANTIX Access Software (TWAIN) are designed to stay on your computer for 5 seconds before the next screen appears. The splash screen starts up the film drive, and cannot be dismissed. • How should I set my monitor display for best results? To improve the quality of your monitor display, set the colors on your monitor to thousands or millions of colors. • Why does my image look dark on the monitor as it is being scanned for Preview? This is normal operation of the film drive. During the preview scan, the scanned image data is shown on the monitor in its raw format. After the image is completely scanned, the image is redrawn on the monitor with corrections applied to make the image look as a print would. •
