Why isn the Virtual Colonography part of the Whole Body Scan?
While both exams take place on the same CT scanner, the Virtual Colonography utilizes special software and a preparation that’s been developed specifically for imaging the colon. How much radiation will I be exposed to during a Complete Body Scan CT or Virtual Colonography? The amount of radiation exposure is equivalent to that of having a set of back X-rays. Is there any special preparation required for these exams? For all diagnostic and screening studies, plan to arrive 15 minutes before your exam time to provide us with a brief medical history.
