Why isn’t the Forest designating roads directly into dispersed sites?
A. In many places on the Forest, projects have been implemented to address resource impacts related to motor vehicle use in popular dispersed camping destinations, particularly along rivers and streams. Decisions to close or designate routes accessing dispersed campsites require site specific planning. These decisions will continue to be made on a project level basis under separate NEPA analysis.
