Why isn the Bible enough? Why do we need The Urantia Book?
[print] [email] One could just as easily wonder why any person should strive to learn and know more. Why send a child to college when a high school education is sufficient to survive in the world? The Creator put the propensity in each of us that we might constantly strive to better our civilization and ourselves. A better question might be, “Why wouldn’t God reveal more to us, especially as we are able to understand and know more?” Any good parent or teacher would do this. Children cannot reach the fulfillment of their personal dreams and potential without the periodic help, wisdom and guidance of more experienced adults. Neither can humankind reach its objectives nor can we live up to our true potential without some form of periodic wisdom and guidance from above. When considering the epic struggle of humanity to reach our own often-stated goal of “peace on earth, and goodwill among men,” one source of religious truth and knowledge can hardly be adequate.
