Why isn removeMovieClip working on some mcs?

The removeMovieClip function was intended to be applied to a movieClip that was dynamically created through actionscript. In otherwords, it doesn’t work on movieClips that you placed on the stage manually from you library. However you can still remove a static movieClip using the following hack.
