Why isnt my Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) combat-related?
In order for your SMC to be Combat-Related, all the diagnoses linked to the SMC award must be combat-related. For example, you were granted SMC due to one diagnosis rated at 100% and others totaling 60%. In your case, only the 100% diagnosis was determined to be combat-related; the other diagnoses were determined not combat-related. Therefore, your SMC is not combat-related.
