Why isn LEGO Star Wars II on the next generation systems?
David Perkinson: We considered having LEGO Star Wars II on the next-gen platforms, but with seven versions of the game in simultaneous production already, we don’t quite have the resources to really focus on the Xbox 360 or PS3, especially considering that so much of our audience is still content in the current generation. IGN: LEGO Star Wars II was a great two-player co-op game. Will this year’s game be four player co-op? If not, why not? David Perkinson: LEGO Star Wars II will feature two-player co-op on the PS2, Xbox, GameCube, GBA, PSP and PC, with four-player co-op for the DS version. The main reason that we chose to stick with the two-player co-op for most platforms is that the two-player co-op worked extremely well and it was important to keep the implementation clean and easy to use. However, we have improved the co-op camera to widen the distance that the two players can be apart from one another, so there is an increased amount of freedom for them while retaining the sense of
