Why isn lacrosse ?
Lacrosse is only played at a high level in the US and Canada with a small amount of participation in a few other countries. To be an Olympic sport there must be a wide network of countries playing at a competitive level. Yes other countries could throw together a team but it wouldn’t be competitive against the US. Whilst I agree that Handball isn’t worldwide it is at least played at a very high level by several dozen countries and has a much wider range than Lacrosse.
