Recent financial projections show that District 200 will be able to operate under the current educational fund rate for at least the next four years. This is because of prudent financial planning by the District, the approval of transition fees by a majority of the municipalities in D-200, and expected annual increases in the District’s equalized assessed valuation (EAV). Many of the teachers that will be needed for the new schools are already on staff. For example, the teachers that are currently at Olson Middle School will go to the new middle school when it opens. Ten teachers who are now in the mobiles will be moved into permanent classrooms. Several teachers in the current buildings will be transferred to the new schools to relieve overcrowding at present facilities. When Clay Elementary School is closed, those teachers will also be transferred to another elementary
