Why isn Cro Cop headlining 103?
It’s not that Cro Cop hasn’t beaten top and/or famous opponents…..it’s that he hasn’t done it in front of a UFC audience (which isn’t to say he’s less accomplished). Hardcore fans followed his career in PRIDE and know the level he reached in the sport, but PRIDE wasn’t that popular in the US. The UFC is the stage that gives a fighter exposure to the biggest audience in the US, and sor far, Cro Cop hasn’t been all that impressive on that stage. Marketing a fighter who isn’t popular in the US (especially against a fighter who has yet to reach stardom) as a headliner for a US pay-per-view is not a good move.
