Why isn commodity information available at the port level?
Currently, port data, combined with commodity and other geographic information (such as state) cannot be released due to disclosure regulations, determined by the U.S. Census Bureau. Customers interested in only port data and commodity information can contact the Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Division for information on products they have that might suit their needs.
