Between 30 June 2000 and November 2007, the Queensland Fuel Subsidy Scheme applies to all fuel purchased in Queensland. However, from 1 July 2000, the Commonwealth assumed full responsibility for the payment of rebates to off-road diesel users as part of the National Tax Reform arrangements. From this date, the Queensland Fuel Subsidy no longer applied to diesel purchased for an off-road purpose.
