Why is WSF testing a reservations program on the Port Townsend/Keystone route?
With the retirement of the Steel Electric class vessels in November 2007, the Port Townsend/Keystone route is operating with only one boat and reduced capacity while new boats are being built. The pilot reservations program is designed to reduce wait times and make the best use of the limited space on the ferry.
