Why is Whitix 32-bit only?
I started Whitix in 2005 testing it in the then 32-bit only Bochs. Porting to 64-bit at the moment, with only me (Matthew Whitworth) working on the code, doesn’t make sense time-wise; I would rather spend the several months working on a network stack, or something of direct importance to the user. However, I’ve started an experimental D kernel with support for 64-bit CPUs and SMP. It will soon be available as a developer release, but is not stable enough for a wider release yet.
