Why is wheelchair basketball becoming more recognised?

I think the men’s team have done a lot to break down barriers and wheelchair sports are definitely growing in this country. Watching a game of wheelchair basketball is just as exciting as an able bodied game if not more because playing in a wheelchair is technically challenging and demanding. You’ve also got up and coming stars such as CBBC presenter Ade Adeptian who has done a lot to promote wheelchair sports in the UK through the media. Instead of showing just 20 minutes of wheelchair sports at the paralympics the TV stations may now broadcast twenty minutes a day, which is great.
