Why is venous refill testing of interest to a Cosmetic Surgeon/Dermatologist?
Chronic Venous Insufficiency is unsightly and can reduce self-esteem. Many people have endovascular laser treatments performed by cosmetic surgeons or dermatologists to remove varicose veins. .While the a patient’s motivation to treat CVI may be for cosmetic reasons, from the physician’s standpoint, a clinical validation of CVI may suggest further studies are needed to determine if there is a more serious underlying cause for the disease.
