The day after a series of fights between Kansas football and basketball players revealed an ongoing feud between the programs, no public discipline was announced, although the university is now investigating the incidents. KU football coach Mark Mangino has said he had not seen anything that would lead him to suspend any of his players for the Jayhawks’ game Saturday against Southern Mississippi. KU basketball coach Bill Self, speaking publicly about the fights for the first time on Thursday afternoon, said there would be discipline but it would occur behind closed doors. “It’s really none of your business,” Self said. “It will be handled in a way that will be probably private.
