The Linux migration is being undertaken because existing IBM RS/6000 AIX servers are expensive to operate and maintain relative to costs operating and maintaining the Intel Linux servers; and , UCIT has discovered that 3RD party software is not capable of operating on IBM RS/6000 AIX servers.
