Why is understanding the doctrine Eschatology so important?
First, Because of its prominence in Scripture. Next to the Gospel of Christ, eschatology is the most emphasized subject in the Bible. Finally, Because God’s Word provides a clarity about the future. The fact of eschatology is intended to comfort the believer (1 Thess. 4:18) and conform us to the likeness of Christ (1 John 3:3). The Bible is not vague about the chronology of events concerning end times.
