Why is Twilight so awful?
Twilight is awful because Stephenie Meyer is a notorious purple proser, has minimal knowledge when it comes to grammar and spelling, rapes her thesaurus whenever possible (linking into purple prose), and doesn’t even use the words she discovers correctly. Her characters are boring because she shoves her own opinions of them down your throat when really, their actions say entirely different things about them (Examples: Bella is a whiny, disrespectful brat; Edward is an abusive twit). And furthermore, almost half, or maybe even more of the series is devoted to Edward’s gorgeousness, and the rest is crappy plot devices thrown in so that the books actually meet the requirements for “problem and solution”. And despite all this, there are fans of the series, and those fans are so disgustingly loyal to their “Stephie”, they are willing to practically yell at you for disliking the books.
