Why is training recommended if the leader has already attended a DISCIPLE training seminar?
Experience has shown the content and approach are different enough from DISCIPLE that specific training is helpful. The fact that the format of the study manual is different from the familiar DISCIPLE format and layout and requires a different approach to daily study–plus the addition of the new Gospel Comparisons–means that participants will look to the leader for guidance in using the materials. A training seminar will prepare leaders to assist participants in their groups in knowing how to use the suggestions of things to look for when reading Scripture and for using Gospel Comparisons to discover differences and similarities in Gospel accounts of the same story.
