Why is Township form of government best suited to Anderson?
Township government is simple, efficient, and close to the people. In Anderson’s case many of the services that require incorporation into a city form of government such as courts, water, sewer services, and road building are provided by the county. If Anderson were incorporated, some form of income tax would be required to pay for the additional responsibilities required of a city.
