Why is Toad-licking a Ticketing Offense?
The reason the chef was find over the toad-licking event is that amphibians actually carry several diseases. The toads were on the prep table in the video, which is where food is prepared, so the food could have possibly been contaminated by one of the diseases that toads carry. Thankfully for Turla, his boss Yidi When is going to pay the fine, and he is going to let the chef keep his job. However, Turla will have to go through some additional training about restaurant sanitation. This seems pretty gross, but it is understandable that the video was a joke. Turla probably put his own health at risk by putting the toads in his mouth. However, as long as he cleaned his hands and the surfaces before preparing food, he probably did not put anybody else at risk. Of course, when it comes to public safety, probably likely isn’t good enough.
