Why is there so much debate over the kelly clarkson self magazine cover?
American Idol Kelly Clarkson graces the cover of the latest issue of Self Magazine (September 2009). Despite claiming in Self’s interview to be completely comfortable with her body and who she is, it’s pretty clear Kelly was completely Photoshopped in the magazine’s photo shoot. About her recent weight gain, Kelly said, “When people talk about [it], I’m like, ‘You seem to have a problem’ — I don’t, I’m fine!’ I’ve never felt uncomfortable on a red carpet or anything.” Self Magazine Editor-in-Chief Lucy Danziger defends the photo shoot saying it’s normal procedure in the industry to make some post-production corrections but claims it wasn’t done to make Kelly look thinner.
