Why is there nudity, violence, homosexuality, and lesbians in the Japanese version of Sailor Moon?

Japanese kids didn’t have a real problem with it. Japanese culture is very different from American culture. In Japan, a child is much less likely to copy something they have seen on TV, so it’s okay to have violence in anime. Also, anime is not only geared toward children. It’s for adults too so there is adult anime and anime made for children. Sailor Moon was originally geared toward younger girls, like it is here, but there are things like homosexuality and nudity. Both things are acceptable in anime, even though homosexuality isn’t really common in Japan. Also, nudity is not a taboo like it is here. You can see guys reading porn or hentai (erotic manga) in the subway out in the open and no one gives them a second glance. Nudity is very common in anime and shown at normal hours on TV. I’m not so sure about real nudity on TV though. Anyway, our cultures are very different.
