Why is there no Volume Up/Down/Mute or TV Power buttons?
Tivo DVRs do not have any built in volume control, your sound is controlled by your TV or your surround sound. These buttons are learned by your Tivo remote using infrared. Since there is no direct control of these through Tivo, I cannot control them with TivoRemote. If Android devices had built in infrared, like regular remote controls, this could be done – but they don’t! Q: The Shortcuts aren’t working! A: Some shortcuts do not give a true ‘visual’ notification that they worked. For instance, the ’30 sec skip’ shortcut won’t seem to do anything – however, after using it – when you press the Skip Forward button, it will now only jump 30 seconds, instead of the standard jumping to the end/beginning of live viewing. Pressing the shortcut again disables this functionality. Make sure to read what the shortcut does to see if it is working properly. Some shortcuts are limited to when they can be pressed – i.e. you might not be able to do them while in the Now Playing list.
