Why is there no USB driver available for Windows XP ?
In Windows XP you do not need to install a driver in order to be able to connect your Sony USB device to your computer. A generic driver that is already embedded into the Win XP Operating System is used for communication between the device and your computer. After connecting the USB device, Windows XP will detect it and install the proper driver automatically. However, if you want to use the USB streaming function (whenever the device is supporting it) it is necessary to install a specific driver. You can install the USB streaming driver from the CD-Rom that came with your product, or you can download it from our download pages.
