Why is there no sound with WinDVR?

0

There are a wide variety of reasons why there is no sound. a) Verify that the speakers and sound cards are correctly installed and connected. Verify whether you can get sound output in other Windows applications, such as Windows Media Player. b) Verify that the audio cable is connected between the Line-out connector on the green AV/Tuner Box and the line-in connector on your sound card or audio device. c) In WinDVR, go to the setup dialog and select the “Recording” tab. Verify the that audio input is set to Line-in on your sound card. d) If you can hear sound in other applications, upgrade the drivers for your sound card or onboard audio device. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s web site for your sound card or mainboard, as appropriate. e) If this doesn’t solve the problem, then verify that the WDM drivers are properly installed. Open the Device Manager applet and verify that four “NVIDIA WDM” drivers are properly installed and functioning. See Figure 1, below.
