Why is there no rhyme in poetry anymore?
Your point is clear and understated I think not rhyming is over rated no more written about Miss Muffet It’s hard to find a rhyming couplet Wow that rhyme was quite terrible I’d like ride in a dirigible I think I’ve proved a solid fact that rhyming can fit clearly into Act I or II of a play but not very well in modern day The point of poems has greatly shifted by poets both smart and gifted from rhyming to the use of prose but, surely this is just another name of the rose it still is sweet and still has form it’s just not quite the same as the norm though rap is sometimes quite lyrical …I can’t think of something that rhymes with lyrical but… where was I? I think I lost my place Well… Poetry doesn’t need a pretty face it’s not about how the poem’s rhyme but rather the meaning at the time Rap as Poem is a point well made but with time this art form too will fade some day the past will look back on us and they will think and they’ll discuss and they’ll decide what’s good and bad re
