Why is there no fee to access the Worldclass Supersite?
We are big fans of the profit motive and if content providers can make a buck off their sites more power to them, but charging readers is probably not the best way. One of the main advantages of the Net is the amount of quality, free, instantly accessible information that is available. It is unlikely that we will ever charge users. For the same reason, with only a half dozen exceptions, none of the sites within the collection charge users for basic access, although some offer more information or value-added services to paid subscribers, which is reasonable.
