The responsibility of developing and monitoring our curriculum is shared by the provost and the Academic Committee. As we progress with our curriculum mapping process, we’re finding that our current system of sharing this responsibility between Chuck Jones and the members of the Academic Committee is extremely effective. Although, she doesn’t hold the title, Pattie Stoltz is the unofficial Dean of Faculty at FCDS. Pattie is respected, loved, and trusted by the entire faculty at FCDS and has both a historical and current knowledge of the management and administration of the school. Although Pattie still serves as the chair of our Academic Committee, she requested not to be an official member of the administrative team this year. In the eyes of both the faculty and the administrators, Pattie is perceived as a de facto member of the administrative team.
