Why is there medication in the nebuliser body?
The nebuliser unit design minimises loss of aerosol to the air. If the nebuliser runs without a patient breathing on the device (in a demonstration, for example), medication will collect in the body of the device. During normal use a small amount will generally collect in the nebuliser body, which is usual and maintains the expected efficiency of the device.
