Why is there headache, blurry vision, proteinuria in Pregnancy Induced Hypertension?
Headache, blurred vision and proteinuria are all (thought to be) due to endothelial dysfunction in the blood vessels of those organs (cerebrovascular, retinal, renal). Abdominal pain is often due to liver dysfunction, a complication of worsening PIH, also known as HELLP syndrome; the underlying cause is still (thought to be) endothelial dysfunction, though there are also vasoactive hormones involved as the mother’s body tries to correct the pathophysiologic changes. Shortness of breath might be due to the abdominal pain, or to the more serious condition pulmonary edema. I hope that these are test questions or homework for material you are studying. If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms, them edical attention needs to be urgently sought. If they are happening to someone receiving (appropriate) medical care, then the questions should be addressed to the clinicians taking care of the patient.
