Because they’re totally different substances that affect the body in different ways. One has serious adverse effects on a developing fetus (alcohol) and the other, as far as I know, does not. That’s not to say you should use recreational drugs of any kind while pregnant, but it’s safe to say that one poses far more risks to the fetus than the other.
