Why is there evil in the world? How could a God of love allow suffering?
This is perhaps the most common question of all. There are two answers: (1) God is not responsible for evil, man is. (2) God has done something about the evil in the world. (1) God created the world and said it was very good. Then man chose to disobey God s only command, introducing sin and death into the world. Conclusion: Man is responsible for evil, pain and suffering in the world GOD IS NOT! Evil, pain and suffering are due to man s choices, not God s capricious decrees. It s ironic those who say God should not allow evil, pain and suffering are the very people who would scream the loudest if God did not let them make whatever choices they pleased. ? People do many things that are contrary to God s will. Why do they do these things? Because they want to.
