Some other device is also trying to use the COM PORT. Check the startup group in Windows for devices that use the serial port. For example: Remote Access Software, Palmpilot Software-Hot Sync Manager or IBM Ink Transfer. You would need to remove these applications or temporarily disable them and restart computer. Go to Start, Settings, Taskbar, Start Menu Programs, Advanced and select Startup group. Remove the application and restart the computer. If using Hot Sync Manager or IBM Ink Transfer, exit the application and restart Presentation FX.
